Welcome to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank

We are the sole distributor of surplus food products to over 140 charitable food programs, including our region’s soup kitchens, food shelves and shelters. As a non-profit food bank, our primary role is to provide food to the front-line charitable agencies that offer meals to the hungry. In addition, we provide food to over 1,000 people per month as part of our own direct service programming.

As part of America's Second Harvest network, we rescue food and non-food items from national and regional manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurateurs and growers. These products are temporarily stored in our 14,000 square foot warehouse, then quickly distributed to agencies throughout our service region.

Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank’s mission is to feed Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin’s hungry by rescuing and distributing food and engaging our region in the fight against hunger.
